The Woman behind the Monstress

What we can learn about women through a fantasy world. I became a fan of Monstress soon after a couple of my colleagues introduced it to me about a year ago. The moment I saw it, I was instantly lured into discovering more; it’s the kind of book that makes you wonder why the phrase “don’t judge a book by its cover” was ever coined. The young lady drawn on the cover pulled me in with one look and devoured me whole with her compelling story and intricate world.

ABZÛ: A Scuba Diver’s Dream

Oh, hey, lookie! Another game review. I attempted to write about a bunch of different things that have riled me up in the last few months, but I ended up spending whatever down time I had finding my calm instead. My offline life has been a long and exhausting ride since my last blog entry, so I do apologize for my absence. So Abzû, albeit a very short game, turned out to be just what I needed to slow down a bit and perhaps get back on track.

A Year Of Galaxy-Saving

So I spent almost the entirety of 2015 and all of 2016 so far marathoning the Mass Effect trilogy. I’m about 4 years late for the last ME hype, but it’s definitely something I think will be relevant in the world of gaming for years to come. I am both excited and sad to say that I finally finished the last one a couple of days ago. Please bear with me here; I have never written a piece about a game before, much less three all at once.
